We could visit the Parliament building this morning, so that is what we did first. Our guide Betsy did a good job ;-).
Since we had to wait about 45 min. before the next guided tour started and the security check was very detailed it was already noon when we came out of the building. But it certainly is worth a visit.
Finally for Patrick we had our first Starbucks stop (he had to wait several days for that :-0) and we had our last lunch in Ottawa.
Bye bye Michael, thanks a lot for the great welcome and guiding in Ottawa - see you again in Montreal.
It was a really nice trip to Montebello -> Great scenery while driving along the Ottawa river after we crossed the river with a ferry. Again a different side of Canada and very difficult to reflect it with a picture.
We arrived at our very nice hotel around 4 PM : http://www.fairmont.com/montebello/Accomodations/
Lucky us, since we had an upgrade of room with an even greater view on the river. We had some time to play a badminton match (although not that easy in the grass and the wind didn't always help the right team ;-D) and after that Phil and I went for a swim in the nice swimming pool and some relaxation in the whirlpool.
Just finished the day with an excellent meal. OK, a bit more expensive but certainly worth it - long time ago I ate such a delicious meal.
Before we head for Montreal tomorrow we'll probably go visit a park nearby hoping to see buffalos coming close to the car and also see bears (hoping they'll stay away from the car). Bob, any idea which could be this park ? ;-)
It's 11h40 now, so time to prepare to go to bed and be ready for a next wonderful day in Canada ...

Hi guys, very nice to hear about your day and know that the food and accomodations are living up to your expectations.
It is very good that you never missed out on having some badminton exercise on Thursday.
Ne pas soucier de la conversation en français pour un coupler des jours, je suis sûr que vous pouvez le gérer ;-)
Not much of a clue in the green and blue picture of the park but if you took it while you were in Montebello I would guess that it is Omega Park.
Hey Phil, keep those 'bears' away from Michel ;-) eh?
Completely righ Bob - we'll visit the Omega park this morning. The green picture was taken yesterday on our way to Montebello
