Hot in the city

Yesterday evening we went to Church street, the center of the gay area, for supper. Nice area with more houses (instead of building).

Although weather forecast talked about some storm & rain today it again was a nice sunny and hot day.

While walking towards Front street, place to take the Hippo bus, we had some morning music coming from a church. We went a bit closer to the church to see what was happening in the little park in front of it and seems the morning ceremony was being prepared. The priest even came to us to shake hands.

A bit later we saw again an example of combination of different architectures

A little break in the Eaton Centre, the biggest mall in Eastern Canada (3rd biggest one of Canada with 300 stores)
Today really is a day with lot of things to do in Toronto. A big event in front ot the City Hall with live music

A tour of 90 min. with the Hippo bus has shown us that we already saw a lot yesterday, so I would recommend visitors to immediately start with such a tour since otherwise it does not really make you discover a lot. But is was nice and refreshing in the water.

When we went to the CN Tower we had to go against the flow of a whole crowd of baseball fans that just left the Rogers Center after a game of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Going up the CN Tower (553 meters in total) in 1 min. was worth it. The tower is 553 meters high in total but the observation deck is at 346 meters, with a part in glass floor (nice experience). With the good weather we had a clear view over Toronto.
When getting back to the hotel we had 2 rain drops, but no storm yet ... maybe for later ? After this update of the blog (in the hotel, since Toronto does not seem to have any internet cafe) we'll prepare for the evening ...
